The following statement I do agree with:

'In many rap videos women have no identity except as sexual playthings and "eye candy"
These women in modern music videos are used for nothing more than eye candy for the viewers pleasure. The artists make all the girls dress up in revealing and 'sexy' clothing so that the video becomes 'successful.' Well that's what he artist believes. The artist believes that in all of his videos he has to have it sex related so that young boys and men get attracted into the song. Most girls do not even get paid for being in music videos. However the more popular, classy and clever girls do get paid. The girls who don't get paid normally just do it so that they can have sex with the artist and become famous.

To get all of these girls in the music videos the directors normally put advertisements on social networks, such as Facebook or Twitter. When it comes down to when the girls actually turn up and perform, they sometimes get the upsetting news that they don't actually get paid. An example of this is Digital Dan, who made loads of girls perform for him and ended up rejecting them.

I believe that the girls are not being treated correctly at all. The artists literally order them to do anything (even strip). There has also been artists who have been taken to court, because of video girls claiming they have been sexually assaulted by them. However, many people may argue that it is the video girls fault in the first place, for actually turning up to try and get into these videos. It is the girls choice to turn up and want to be apart of it, so its their decision.

I do not agree with the following statements:

  • 'Hip hop presents a very rigid and narrow version of manhood - one that suggests that to be a "real man" you must be strong and tough, you must have a lot of women and money, you must always be in control, and you must always dominate women and other men.'
  • 'If you do not live up to these ideals, you will be ridiculed for not being man enough. You will be called names like "soft, weak and wimp.'
I do not agree with the statements because you do not have to be 'strong and tough' to be a man. Even if you are not strong and tough you are still a man. However in the music video- 50 cent- Candy shop, it is suggesting that you have to look and be tough to get the girls and be a true man. It is suggesting this as, 50 cent has about 30 girls around him and is trying to act all hard and bad.

In Jay Z's music video, Big Pimpin, he is basically acting the exact same how 50 cent acts in his video. For example they both act like they are kings because they are both super rich. They are doing this by getting all the girls around them and having super expensive properties.

The second statement I completely disagree with as well as you will not necessarily be called names like 'soft, weak and wimp' for not acting all hard like 50 cent and Jay Z.

Evaluation on my power point presentation on Pinks music video

My presentation went pretty well. It had a lot of information about the music video which was sung by Pink.

The information on my presentation ranged from what the men/women wore, to what the message of the song was. All of my points and information were very clear.

When me and my partner actually performed our presentation it wasn't the most amazing performance. My partner kept on moving the slides forwards too quickly, making it unable for me and the audience to finish reading the whole slide. We did fairly good at reading out the slide to the audience.

WWW: we made the info clear
WWW: we wrote descriptive answers
WWW: we read it out fairly clearly to the class

EBI: better if my partner took his time changing the slide
EBI: being more confident in front of the class
EBI: if we put more effort into the presentation

Overall I believe me and my partner did fairly well on our presentation.

This is my logo, this is for a school program called Craig's school of horror.

I believe my logo is the perfect design for my program.

The program is to do with a school that slowly becomes an awfully violent school. A teacher called Craig starts to murder all the little children and put them in the school meals.

So therefore my logo is good for my program as it has for instance: a pencil which resembles the school part of the program and a knife which resembles the violence part of the program. Also the background colour is good as it kind of means blood and horror.

Crop tool on photoshop step by step

Step 1: Select the crop tool, which is the fifth one down on the left hand side image. There are grabbable corners on the image you want to crop.

Step 2: If you want, you can constrain your crop by clicking on the drop down menu in the options bar. You can create your own crop by doing this.

Step 3: Hit the tick button to apply. If you turn off delete cropped pixel in the options bar, photoshop keeps the trimmed areas as part of the document in case you want to bring them back in later.
